A little About Knit

Knit is the AI-native platform automating the consumer research process, enabling enterprise brands to run rigorous research in days not weeks. Through Knit, brands like NASCAR, JBL, and Mars automate their consumer research process to get a quicker and more holistic understanding of their audiences.

Overview & Responsibilities

Knit is looking to hire a Director of Marketing to play a key part in building and scaling Knit’s B2B marketing campaigns, including paid search/social, content marketing, event marketing, sales enablement, and more. This individual will cover a wide range of marketing channels and functions and operate in a “Marketing Generalist” capacity, both strategizing and executing on various initiatives concurrently. The role will work directly with Knit’s Head of Marketing to divide and conquer workload, reporting, and management of all aspects of the marketing function. The main purpose of this role is to execute and optimize marketing campaigns and operations – ultimately driving marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and assisting in the conversion of the sales pipeline. A successful candidate in this role will have a deep understanding of our ideal customer’s pain points, how our platform solves for those pain points, and will produce valuable campaigns to bridge the two.

Key Performance Indicators For This Position

  • Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
  • Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
  • Assist in Sales Conversions and Revenue Generation (ARR)

Key Responsibilities Of This Role

  • Develop and implement comprehensive B2B marketing strategies across numerous channels to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies in achieving their defined objectives.
  • Work closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Consult and aid in Knit’s B2B content planning & strategy, across all stages of the customer journey.
  • Produce high-quality, interesting, and well-researched content to drive traffic and convert target customers, including: articles, white papers, blogs, press releases, email marketing messages, case studies, presentation content, survey reports and web copy.
  • Consistently optimize paid media campaigns through A/B and multivariate testing and user segmentation.
  • Manage budgets, spend and contractors for both paid marketing campaigns and content production.
  • Ensure consistency in the messaging, branding, content, and look-and-feel of all external communications and marketing materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Management of external creative resources including designers, writers & other freelancers.

At the end of the day, we’re a fast-growing startup with a super lean team, so we’re looking for somebody that doesn’t shy away from new projects and challenging experiences!

Required Skills & Experiences

  • Must have 8+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with SaaS market research and insights experience preferred
  • Must have an ownership mentality – with experience driving both strategy and execution autonomously and decisively in a small-team environment
  • Must have a results-oriented approach – Our function is responsible for all things marketing (brand, social, paid, content, events, PR, etc), so we are looking for an individual who can look across the function, identify our levers for producing results, communicate the ROI, implement campaigns, and measure the results
  • Must have early stage startup experience (stages: Seed-Series B; revenue: <$10M)

Specific skills that will make you a successful candidate:

  • Toolstack experience with Hubspot, Google Analytics, Paid Search & Social, Canva, WordPress, Mailchimp or similar CMS and marketing tool-stacks
  • Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization, data analysis, and Adobe Creative Cloud a plus (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects)
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, such as email, SEO, SEM, and social media (organic & PPC)
  • Experience running B2B in-person event marketing and management
  • Extremely strong writing skills (long form and short form)
  • A strong “eye for design” and commitment to quality work
Benefits

Upon joining the Knit team, you will receive a competitive salary, Equity Options, Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision), Insurance, and Additional Coverage, a company laptop and one-time, onboarding Technology Stipend, a 401(k) with company match, flexible time-off, hybrid working, and more!
