Sales Development Representative

Who we’re looking for…

Role: [Part-time Contractor] Sales Development Representative
Team: Sales
Reports To: CEO
Ideal Start Date: Monday, March 22, 2021

A little about us…

We are Knit (previously known as PurPics) and we are on a mission to help consumers change the world by sharing their opinions. We’ve started our journey by building a platform that texts college students opportunities to raise money and do good by sharing their thoughts over video with brands. For our college student users, we provide them with meaningful ways to raise money for causes they care about. For our brand customers, we empower them to make customer-centric decisions through agile video feedback.

Where we came from…

In typical startup fashion, we launched out of a dorm room. Over the next four years, some big milestones happened…

  • A bunch of hard-working, thoughtful people felt passionately about our mission and joined the team. Today, we have 11 full-time and part-time team members helping consumers raise money and do good, one opinion at a time.
  • We completed the Techstars Farm to Fork Accelerator in Fall 2019.
  • Most importantly, by connecting over 50 brands with a network of 60k college students, we’ve raised $125k+ for causes like Children’s Miracle Network, Camp Kesem, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, American Cancer Society and dozens more.

The majority of the team is based in Austin, Texas. However in light of COVID, we have an indefinite Work From Anywhere policy, so team members can be anywhere in the U.S.

The things we value…

In typical startup fashion, we launched out of a dorm room. Over the next four years, some big milestones happened…

  • We strive for a positive attitude (because startups are challenging and we embrace issues with a “can do” mindset)
  • We have the tough conversations (because we believe honest feedback is our foundation of growth)
  • We embrace ambiguity (because we value the journey, not just the destination)
  • We test, learn, and repeat (because nobody gets everything right the first time)
  • We are proud of the work we deliver (because our customers and users reap the benefits)
  • We make a difference every day (because we believe the small things add up to make a big impact)

At the end of the day, we’re a close-knit team (pun definitely intended) and we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
